CURRENT FAVOURITE LIP BALMS-If there’s one beauty item I cannot live without it’ll be lip balms. I have one in my bag, one in my bathroom, one on my nightstand, one in my pocket and one that I could never find but I know it’s somewhere in the house. Lip balms are one of those things that are for life. I can never go without them.
My lips are dry all the time and sometimes they even peel as well which in my opinion, is the worst thing in the world as it feels horrible even lipsticks look patchy. So today, I’m gonna show you my current fave ones and if you are a lip balm junkie like me, keep on reading.
I’ll start with my discovery of the year which is this Hurraw Balck cherry Tinted Lip Balm. It is soooooo good. It smells/tastes like cherries, it applies smoothly and very hydrating without being greasy. It comes in a tube which is hygienic and travel-friendly, and best of all, it’s all natural and it gives a subtle rosy tint that is perfect for a no-makeup makeup day. I actually like to use it before liquid lipsticks. It’s the perfect lip primer if you are into that juicy, kissable lip look. I need more. Hurraw comes in a great variety of flavours and it’s very affordable.
Now if you are a multi-tasker kinda gal, I highly recommend using coconut oil as your lip balm. It’s hydrating, it smells nice and you can use coconut oil for literally everything. But that being said, I recommend getting one that’s 100% raw, cold-pressed, virgin coconut oil instead of other types. I’ve recently ordered this Organic Virgin Coconut Oil by KIKI Health and it is to die for. I have it in the smallest jar (40ml) (KIKI also does 100ml, 200ml and 500ml) and it’s perfect to carry around with you obviously not just for lips but everything from head to toe.
If you have been following me for a while you’d know that the Clarins Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm is my all time favourite lip balm in the world. It just gets the job done. If my lips are ultra dry and even peeling, this will always sort it out. My secret is to apply a thick layer then seal it in with a piece of plastic film for the whole night and I promise, you will wake up with the smoothest lips ever.
Next up, I have Nakin lip Treatment Balm which is quite similar to the Clarins one but it disappears rather quickly on my lips but still, it’s lovely. It doesn’t really have a scent so if you are sensitive, this might be the one. It comes in a pot which contains 15ml and it will last you forever. I normally have this in my bathroom cabinet and it’s the last product I use for both of my morning and evening skincare routines.
Last but not least, Minty Moment Moisturising Lip Balm by VeeBeautyLDN is quickly becoming my everyday essential. I love lip balms that are mint flavoured and this one is very nice and smooth. The texture is quite similar to coconut oil but denser and I love that the refreshing minty scent makes me ready to face the day.
So there you have it, my current lip care faves. The weather is changing slowly so put on your favourite lip balm and protect those juicy lips.
